A superb used single cut!
A custom model with a beautiful buckeye top and pearl blocks.
Since its founding in 1979, legendary Roger Sadowsky has built, repaired, and customized instruments for countless top artists across genres, earning him the utmost trust from musicians around the world. Through his work modifying instruments for New York studio musicians, including the famous Marcus 77JB, and manufacturing his own brand of instruments, he established the "Active JB" style, now adopted by many manufacturers, and introduced new possibilities for bass sound to the music scene since the 1980s.
Sadowsky instruments have a wide range of sounds to suit any musical genre, and are low-noise and highly functional.They have always been with musicians through the ages and continue to evolve.
This custom single-cut design model features a beautifully selected California buckeye burl top, a lightweight chambered ash body, and a jet-black ebony fingerboard with gorgeous mother-of-pearl block inlays.
Despite its incredibly light body weighing just 3.6 kg, the tight neck joint on the bass string side produces an impressive, vibrant, low-B sound. The narrow humbucker and a Will Lee-like circuit with a middle boost switch create a truly diverse range of tones. When you need a little more definition in an ensemble, adjusting the middle setting can add a crisp attack, which is sure to be a valuable addition.
As for the condition, there are some scratches on the slap spot on the top of the body and some light wear on the front PU cover, so there are some signs of use, but other than that there are no visible scratches, the neck is very clean, and the fingerboard and frets are still as good as new.
The neck is in good condition, the truss rod works fine, and the electrical system is all functional.
Currently, the lead time for orders is estimated to be around two years, and the Custom Shop and Masterbuilt lines are already sold out in stores, making this an extremely rare, top-class 5-string model.
Recommended used item in good condition and good looking.
