Founded in 2001, the Japanese component brand "TRUTH" is a relatively new brand, but it's a noteworthy brand, crafted by hand by Japanese builders with many years of experience in instrument manufacturing. Originally, they focused on the production and repair of Japanese acoustic guitars and ukuleles, but around the 2010s they began building ambitious electric guitars and basses. Their high quality, cost-effectiveness, and unique specifications have attracted the attention of many players!

The newly arrived "TST-004 Ash," one of TRUTH's standard models, features a two-piece ash body and maple fingerboard/neck. The "TST-004 Alder" features a two-piece alder body and maple neck/pau ferro fingerboard, so judging from the maple fingerboard and the body hull, we assume this model is the "TST-004 Ash."

What really catches your eye are the original pickups and the controls that make you wonder, "What is this!?" The controls consist of one volume, one tone, a 5-way pickup selector, and three 3-way mini switches. The mini switches allow you to select three pickup patterns for the neck, middle, and bridge pickups: pole piece coil, bar coil, and mixed (humbucking) for the three original mini hybrid humbuckers. Combine this with the 5-way pickup selector and the possibilities are endless. At first glance, it may seem complicated, but once you actually use it, it's surprisingly easy to understand.

Other notable features include reliable parts like an LSR roller nut and GOTOH locking pegs, as well as excellent playability. Also, due to the company's experience with acoustic instruments, the instrument is meticulously finished with nitrocellulose lacquer from the primer to the top coat to preserve the instrument's natural sound, a testament to the skill of a Japanese builder.

The matching headstock in a majola color changes color depending on the viewing angle and lighting, creating a stunning stage presence. The fretboard and sides are also equipped with LED position markers. The fretboard and sides can be lit separately or simultaneously, and the LED colors change one after another, making this a guitar that truly embodies the pinnacle of advanced technology.
LED lights are embedded in the position marks on the fingerboard and on the sides, making this guitar a great choice for stage presence. The LEDs change color depending on the time of day. By moving the two Mini SWs on the left panel of the back of the body downwards, the LEDs on the fingerboard and on the sides will light up. It requires three AA batteries.

However, the LED light intensity on this particular fingerboard is very weak, with only the 19th fret shining brightly. The other positions only glow faintly, so they appear to be silent in bright places. The LED light intensity on the sides is relatively strong, but the light intensity on the side positions at the 3rd, 9th, and 17th frets is low.

Due to the thin lacquer coating, there are scratches and dents all over the body, marks from playing, areas where the paint has peeled off where the wood is visible, areas where the paint has peeled off around the neck pocket, and dull parts, but this does not affect or affect the current playability.
