In this edition of Ikebe Live Shopping, brought to you by saxophone specialty store Wind Bros, we introduce the Prima Yanagisawa special limited edition alto saxophone, aptly named "Pride of the Peacock," commemorating the 80th anniversary of Prima Instruments, a company that has worked with numerous world-renowned Japanese wind instrument manufacturers.

In addition to its rich tone and powerful playing feel, this instrument features artistic carvings of a peacock motif, making it a rare find available only on limited occasions. We are also pleased to introduce a special, limited-edition ligature from Yany SIXS, made entirely of silver with platinum plating.

Our guest will be saxophonist Junsuke Motomatsu, and we will carefully explore his sound and charm.

Junsuke Motomatsu (saxophonist)
is a former Wind Bros staff member. He graduated from the Comprehensive Music Academy Department of Shobi College of Music, where he studied various genres of music, mainly classical, but also jazz and pop. Upon graduation, he performed at the Newcomer's Concert hosted by the Japan Saxophone Association. He has studied classical saxophone under Yuko Tanabe and Kinichi Nakamura, and jazz/popular saxophone under Takamitsu Miyazaki. Currently, he is active in various musical activities, including supporting bands, performing live with his own group, performing at events, recording, and hosting sessions, while also giving lessons to students of all ages, from children to adults.
