This rare pre-owned 1968 Les Paul Custom in cherry sunburst finish, featuring three double cream bobbin DiMarzio pickups, is reminiscent of the legendary guitarist's beloved instrument, who sadly passed away recently. Manufactured in 2003.

The other day, the sad news was reported about the passing of the founding guitarist of a legendary super-famous rock band.
We have a rare used item in stock that is reminiscent of the guitarist's beloved instrument!

Based on a 1968 Les Paul Custom, this guitar features a Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish with a plain maple top, mahogany back, one-piece mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard. It's a rare custom-made guitar featuring three double cream bobbin DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups! It was manufactured in 2003. We suspect it was custom-ordered through Yamano Music, the company's distributor at the time.

While limited production runs of his signature model were also made around 1997 and 2011, this particular guitar was specifically ordered as a custom order based on the 1968 Les Paul Custom. As such, the body isn't a triple-layered mahogany/maple/mahogany pancake body like his 1974 model, but rather a plain maple top and mahogany back. The neck isn't a three-piece mahogany neck with a volute, but a one-piece mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard. The Grover buttons on the tuning machines are nickel, not acrylic.
The neck shape is quite thick and comfortable to hold, allowing you to enjoy the rich resonance and tone that only a thick neck shape can provide.

The pickups are three double cream bobbin DiMarzio Pick Ups reminiscent of that model, but instead of a combination of two DiMarzio PAFs (front center) and one DiMarzio Super Distortion (rear), this guitar is equipped with three DiMarzio Super Distortions.
The original model only has wiring for the rear pickup, but this model has wiring for the front pickup, center pickup + rear pickup, and rear pickup. The control knob is a gold speed knob. (There is no smoke coming from the pickup part.)

Nowadays, due to copyright issues, it is difficult to order a look similar to that of a musician model, but back in 2003, it was probably still somewhat acceptable.
The model name on the included certificate is "'68 Custom-P," and the Yamano Musical Instrument warranty states it as "68 LP PL 3PU HS." The Yamano Musical Instrument warranty states it as a Second Class guitar, and the warranty does not cover exterior paint finish, fading, or scratches. There are no issues with current playability.

This time, we have a rare used item in stock! It was made in 2003.
There are some small scratches and marks from playing, small original dents in the paint, scratches on the back of the body, dents on the tip of the headstock, and dullness on some parts, but overall it is in fair condition.
We have fully maintained this product in our shop, so it is a recommended item that you can use right away.

The frets have been filed and are ready to use. Approximately 85% of the frets remain.
The nut is in good condition and can be used as is. The truss rod can be adjusted normally.

The electrical system has been fully checked and there are no problems with operation.

It weighs approximately 4.64 kg. Although it is heavy, it is well-balanced to produce a solid sound.
