■ Flexible settings according to the application
The MS-3's flexible design allows you to create a wide variety of effects systems, from simple to complex. You can create your own sounds by connecting three compact pedals to an external loop and combining the built-in effects, or you can centrally control an effects system that includes MIDI devices and multiple amplifiers. Its compact, lightweight design makes it ideal for portable use as a standalone multi-effects unit.

The MS-3 has 112 built-in effects. Tuned for guitar and bass, these effects are organized into six categories: FX1, FX2, Mod1, Mod2, Delay, and Reverb. FX1 and FX2 offer overdrive, distortion, compressor, pitch shifter, slow gear, and more, while Mod1 and Mod2 offer a wide variety of effects, including chorus, vibrato, tremolo, phaser, and flanger, greatly expanding your sound-creating possibilities.

■ Control function that allows you to centrally manage everything at your feet
The MS-3's robust footswitches provide comprehensive system control. In Memory mode, you can switch patches and banks, while in Manual mode, you can assign loops and effects on/off, and even control multiple effect parameters in real time. Manual mode assignments can also be saved with each patch, allowing you to instantly recall detailed setups tailored to each song.

■ Effect loop that allows you to incorporate your favorite tones into the system
The MS-3's three loops let you incorporate your favorite effect pedals into your system. Pedals connected to the loops can be individually switched on/off from the MS-3, and you can freely position the MS-3's built-in effects before or after your external effects. By combining your favorite distortion or booster with the MS-3's built-in effects, you can create sounds that are both versatile and tailored to your needs.

■Infinite creativity packed into a small body
The MS-3 is packed with BOSS's extensive effects expertise. Its streamlined interface lets you quickly achieve the sound you're imagining, featuring a backlit LCD that shows patch/bank and parameter information at a glance, intuitive edit knobs, and LED indicators that show all loop and effect on/off status. It also offers storage for up to 200 patches, allowing you to easily recall your favorite settings.

■ Professional-level expandability
The MS-3 offers a wide range of expanded control options. External footswitches allow for tap tempo, effect on/off, and parameter control, and even an expression pedal for volume, wah, and pitch shifting. The CTL OUT jack allows for amp channel switching and control of compatible external devices, providing comprehensive control of complex systems with your feet. The MIDI OUT jack also allows for control of MIDI-compatible devices by sending master tempo, program change, and control change messages. The two output channels can be freely configured for each patch: stereo, left only, or right only, expanding the versatility of dual-amp setups.
