~~~~~The following is the product description for a new item.~~~~~
The Boden Prog NX series offers smooth tremolo action and ultra-fast, punchy tones.
Since .strandberg*'s innovative Boden series quietly emerged in the underground guitar community 12 years ago, it has brought about one of the most significant revolutions in the long history of the guitar industry. Headless guitars continue to grow more powerfully than ever in the 21st century, driven by guitar players who are not clinging to past traditions but are instead forging a new future.
The Boden series began in 2010 with the production of the first Made to Measure guitars (fully custom .strandberg* guitars), and has since undergone numerous design trials and errors. Since then, limited quantities have been produced at custom shops in the United States, Sweden, and Japan, and in 2015, the first fixed lineup of guitars was produced. This Boden OS series is manufactured in various Asian countries and has reached a wider range of guitar players around the world. The great success of the Boden OS series has led to the launch of Original, Prog, Fusion, Metal, Classic, and numerous artist models, achieving even greater success and penetrating the mainstream guitar industry in the United States, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and South America. The Boden series has truly become a transformative phenomenon in the global guitar industry.
Aggressive yet sophisticated, the Prog NX series builds upon the design of the Original NX series, featuring the EGS Pro Rev7 tremolo unit and a smooth, supple Richlite fingerboard. With a sharper tone than the Original models, the Prog models are ideal for modern progressive and metal players using high-gain systems. Versatile Suhr pickups and switching systems produce a wide range of tones, covering virtually any playing style or musical genre.
The Prog NX series, similar to the innovative Original series, is essentially a version with a tremolo and a Richlite fingerboard. These contribute to a smoother feel and sharper tone. Scientifically designed for ultimate lightness, comfort, and reduced strain on the player's arm, the Prog NX series features a chambered swamp ash (or sassafras) body, a solid maple top with a top-grade flame or quilted maple veneer, a maple neck, and a Richlite fingerboard. These elements produce a powerful acoustic resonance with a more high-end bite.
The EGS Pro Rev7 tremolo unit is manufactured using aircraft-grade aluminum, producing Boden's signature acoustic sound while exhibiting ultimate smoothness and responsiveness to tremolo action. Each piece of the new Rev 7 hardware bridge features an auto-locking mechanism, contributing to improved sturdiness and vibration transmission, as well as quick string changes and action adjustments. The tremolo design, based on traditional pivot points, and the machining for the tremolo springs on the back give the Prog NX series a more open sound type compared to the fixed-bridge Original NX series.
Electrically, the Prog NX series features Suhr passive pickups (SSH+ in the bridge position and SSV in the neck position) on the 6-string models and Fishman active pickups (Fluence Modern Ceramic in the bridge position and Fluence Modern Alnico in the neck position) on the 7-string models. These choices faithfully and powerfully output the guitar's inherent acoustic sound character to your favorite guitar amp or system, while also providing tonal flexibility to match virtually any musical genre or playing style.
