Description
A top-of-the-line German-made model, a "CustomShop" in superb used condition!
Founded in 1979, Sadowsky Guitars established the "Active JB" style, now adopted by many manufacturers, through modifying instruments for New York studio musicians, including Marcus Miller's famous '77 JB, and manufacturing its own brand of instruments. This introduced new possibilities for bass sound to the music scene from the 1980s onward. With a sound variation that can accommodate all musical genres, low noise, and ultimate functionality, Sadowsky basses are truly instruments for working musicians.
The "CustomShop/MasterBuilt" line, a higher-grade version of the regular "MetroLine" model, features high-spec materials carefully selected from Warwick's vast woodstock and hardware equivalent to that used in NYC models, and you'll be able to feel the difference in sound.
This custom model features a single-cutaway design with a top made of carefully selected, beautiful California buckeye burl wood, a lightweight chambered ash body, and a jet-black ebony fingerboard adorned with gorgeous mother-of-pearl block inlays.
Despite its incredibly light 3.6kg body, this guitar boasts a remarkably deep, rumbling low B sound, thanks in part to its tight neck joint on the bass string side. The circuit, similar to the Will Lee, features a narrow-sized humbucker and a mid-boost switch, allowing for a truly versatile range of tones. It's particularly useful when you need a little extra punch in an ensemble; depending on the mid-range setting, you can add a sharp attack.
In terms of condition, there are some minor scratches on the slap spot on the body top and slight wear on the front pickup cover, showing some signs of use, but otherwise there are no noticeable scratches. The neck is very clean, and the fretboard and frets are still as clean as new.
The neck condition and truss rod function are fine, and all electronics are working properly.
A recommended used item in good condition.
