Chris Broderick, formerly of Megadeth and currently guitarist for Act of Defiance and In Flames, is known as a stoic metal master with his passionate thrash metal playing.
Chris approached Jackson, a longtime supplier of high-performance guitars, to express his desire to create a signature model that reflects his ambitious demands as a top-tier player. The result of their collaboration is a sophisticated instrument packed with premium features.
The Jackson Pro Series Signature Chris Broderick Soloist HT6P features a 25.5" scale length and a resonant mahogany body with a through-body scarf-jointed maple neck with built-in graphite reinforcement for rock-solid stability and sustain. The 12"-radius laurel fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets accommodates any playing style, allowing you to comfortably play everything from low riffs to high-pitched leads.
Modern guitarists demand versatile tone and punchy clarity to keep up with the rapidly changing metal scene. The direct-mount DiMarzio Chris Broderick signature bridge and neck humbuckers deliver powerful, clear harmonics, pronounced attack, and tight lows, providing a wide range of tones for everything from heavy chords to searing solos. The volume control features a push-pull switch for coil splitting, while the tone control's push-pull switch activates the tone circuit. A three-way toggle selects pickup combinations, and a mini-toggle kill switch enables the stutter effect essential to modern metal. The Jackson single-string hardtail bridge produces perfect intonation across the entire neck length, ensuring complex chords are played with confidence. Jackson sealed die-cast locking tuners provide enhanced tuning stability.
