Description
We have a pre-owned JST Modern guitar in stock, manufactured in 2023 and originally ordered and sold new at Guitars Station. The high-grade wood grain stands out against the woody satin natural finish that visually highlights the finest wood used.
This custom-made guitar features a beautiful and exotic figured core finish. The back is made of roasted ash, and while the color of the front and back of the body matches, you can enjoy the different and attractive grain patterns on each side.
The neck and fingerboard are made of flame maple, just like the body back, providing a fast, sparkling response. The headstock features a koa top laminate to match the body, and the combination with gold hardware and logo creates a rich impression.
The entire guitar weighs approximately 3.16 kg, making it extremely lightweight and easy to hold. The open resonance of the lightweight body and the pure sound that responds comfortably to picking, combining speed and tenacity, are sure to inspire players!
The neck profile is thin but not too thin, featuring the classic Even C Slim neck profile that many people find comfortable and easy to play. Combined with meticulous finishing, the Modern's unique 24-fret design maximizes stress-free playability from low to high positions. The fingerboard radius, typical of cutting-edge Suhr guitars, is a compound radius of 10-14R, further enhancing the Modern's exceptional playability.
By selecting jumbo-size stainless steel frets, we have achieved stable condition as well as excellent response and clear touch.
The pickups are Thornbucker, offering a clear, vintage feel, and Asatobucker, featuring a fat, smooth midrange. The 5-way selector offers three output configurations: Pos. 1: Neck Hum, Pos. 2: Neck Split, Pos. 3: Hum Mix, Pos. 4: Split Mix, and Pos. 5: Bridge Hum. This practical layout, with its classic Suhr controllability and versatile sound, has earned it the support of professional musicians demanding adaptability to a wide range of situations.
The bridge is equipped with a Wilkinson WVS130 Locking Bridge. By locking the strings with the top screws on each saddle, it offers tuning stability comparable to a double-locking tremolo system while providing a feel similar to a two-post non-locking tremolo system. It also allows for easy adjustments such as octave pitch, and there's no need to cut the ball ends when changing strings. The tuning pegs are the standard locking type, allowing for smooth string changes.
This pre-owned guitar features unworn stainless steel frets and offers the same playability as when it was new. While there are no major dents or other noticeable damage, there is some peeling of the paint surface near the pickup side and back panel (the wood does not appear to be exposed). There is also some slight rust on both pickup pole pieces, fading and dullness of the gold hardware, and a slight patina, but the guitar still functions well and is unlikely to be noticeable to most players. The strap pins have been replaced with locking types and are included with the originals. Please note that due to the size of the screw holes on the end pin, it may not be possible to restore it to its original condition.
The clear, powerful sound produced by the carefully selected wood materials, and the ease of playing that you can feel the moment you pick up the instrument, which is unique to Suhr Guitar, which has mastered the intricacies of setup, are truly remarkable!
