The V863-CA offers a completely new wah experience by incorporating two Auto/Pedal modes in addition to standard pedal operation, all while retaining the iconic VOX tone that has captivated generations of players.

Conventional auto-wahs were created by adapting the VCF circuitry of synthesizers. The V863-CA, on the other hand, uses a traditional circuit built around an inductor, which operates in response to the input signal. This means that you can now get the authentic VOX wah sound that everyone desires in an auto-wah.

In addition to traditional wah pedal operation, two thoughtful Auto/Pedal modes make it easy to use for creative playing.

The V863-CA is designed for all players, from beginners unfamiliar with wah pedals to seasoned experts. About the "Pedal Semi-Auto" operation mode
The V863-CA opens up creative possibilities that go beyond the boundaries of traditional "wah pedals."
Pedal Mode: Operated with your foot, just like a traditional wah pedal. Envelope Generator Auto / Pedal Mode: The wah circuit is activated by detecting the attack of the input signal (i.e., the rise in volume caused by picking). The ATTACK and DECAY controls set the rise and fall of the effect.
Envelope Follower Auto/Pedal Mode: The wah circuit responds to the input signal volume, resulting in an effect that smoothly follows the picking strength. The ATTACK and SENSE controls define the time course of the effect.

In either auto-wah mode, when you move the pedal, it immediately operates as a normal wah pedal, and when you release the pedal again, it automatically returns to its respective auto-wah operation after the time set by the T (Transition) TIME.
