The new model "Combustion Nashville Edition," which boasts the potential to dramatically change Dingwall's sound image, has arrived in Japan for the first time!

Dingwall has impressed first-call bassist Lee Sklar, who has participated in recordings and live performances with many famous artists, and has earned high praise from connoisseurs around the world for its distinctive FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, body balance, pickup placement, and more.
Models such as the Cobustion, NG, and JT, which are part of the Ready to Play series, are made by sourcing wood in Canada or the United States, processing and assembling them at a factory in China, and then disassembling and reassembling them at a workshop in Canada.These popular models offer high cost performance while maintaining quality comparable to higher-end models.

This unit was created as an updated version of the Combustion model, inspired by the inspiration he received when Sheldon Dingwall visited Nashville in 2025 and interacted with studio musicians who had memorized 4,000 songs and performed 120 shows a year, as well as top engineers.

Instead of a rotary pickup selector, this unit uses a balancer pot for more intuitive control even while playing, and a mini switch allows you to choose from three output types: "middle only," "front and rear," and "front, middle, and rear," allowing you to create traditional sounds that simulate J-type, P-type, or MM-type.

It features a swamp ash body and maple neck, similar to the Combustion model, and is equipped with the Neve onboard preamp, which was inspired by the John Taylor model. It offers simple operability with two EQs for master tone, treble, and bass, and its natural, clear, variable control, like a clean booster, produces an extremely rich low end and crisp high range that won't interfere with the ensemble, no matter where you turn the knob, making it a great choice for both studio and live musicians.

The scale starts at 36.25 inches for the 4th string and is 34 inches for the 1st string, the same as a regular long scale, using the FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, so all strings produce well-balanced tension and a solid tone.
The FANNED-FRET SYSTEM (Multi-Scale), already adopted by many brands, has frets positioned to follow the natural movement of the human arm, so everyone who tries it out in store says it's "surprisingly easy to play." The body design, which doesn't even hint at the super-long 36.25-inch scale, also contributes to this.

Dingwall is often used in heavy genres such as loud and djent, but it is also a great match for pop music, as seen by Lee Sklar, and this CN model in particular will be a game changer that will transform your sound image.
