The latest signature model by Hadrien Feraud, a top French bassist who is known as the reincarnation of Jaco, has arrived in our store for the first time!

Since its founding in 1982, MAYONES (pronounced Mayones overseas as Mayones) has been immensely popular in Japan, as well as Europe and the US, thanks to its unique lineup and reliable quality. Its user list includes a number of top players, including Hadrien Feraud, Mohini Dey (a B'z tour member), Nathan Navarro, and Federico Malaman.

This is a signature model based on the unique Jabba, a refined version of the JB, with specifications modified to suit Hadrien Feraud's style, taking into consideration balance and playability with its 24 frets.

The body has been changed from the previous model's "spruce top/ash back" combination to "sassafras," which is softer than ash and produces a thicker, sweeter midrange tone. The pickups have also been changed to Delano PJ specifications, achieving a thicker and softer tone without laminating multiple types of wood on the top and back. The finger lamps located between the pickups have become so iconic that they can be called his signature, and many bass players have them installed on their instruments.

The neck has also been changed from maple to TWE (Tonally Enhanced Wood) maple, and the fingerboard has been changed from pau ferro to TWE (Tonally Enhanced Wood) birdseye maple. TWE (Tonally Enhanced Wood) improves the resonance, stability, and sound response of wood, similar to thermo- or roast-processing.

The built-in Mayones original preamp can be switched between active and passive modes using the push/pull of the master volume, allowing you to make fine adjustments depending on the genre or song.

In 2006, at the young age of 22, he played on John McLaughlin's album, and the following year, in 2007, he released a solo album and performed at an event hosted by our Shibuya store. He has since worked with many artists, and in recent years has even replaced Anthony Jackson and participated in the Hiromi Uehara Trio.
