Description

Premium drum recording microphone set

You've picked the best cymbals, your favorite wood tone, and the snare drums you've been working on—they're perfectly tuned and you have a great kit in front of you. Why would you want to use anything other than Earthworks DK7 microphones? The DK7 has been updated with the DM20 and SR25 for a second generation, making it even better.

・Earthworks microphones have become the world standard
There's a reason the DK7 is revolutionizing live recording. Its presence and power are so captivating that even veteran engineers with 30+ years of experience consider retirement the moment they hear it on a PA system. Earthworks' coveted sound has earned them worldwide recognition with every tour.

On stage, in the studio, or on your streaming channel, the DK7 has become the industry's must-have drum mic kit. Now in its second generation, the DK7 delivers all the specs you'd expect, while also improving convenience and performance.

New active electronics: Second-generation Earthworks microphones draw phantom power current down to just 6mA, improving performance with any device, including transformer-based preamps and splitters.
It also has additional protection built in against accidental hot-swapping. Connecting a microphone with phantom power on can cause damaging spikes in microphones, preamps, and other equipment. However, in modern recording, streaming, and live performance workflows, where time is limited and phantom power is often on when a session file is loaded, hot-plugging can be difficult to avoid.
Second-generation Earthworks microphones have been enhanced to handle power beyond what you'd find in the largest tour consoles and stage boxes.

-New rim mount system
The RM2 securely mounts the DM20 Gen2 to the rim of a snare drum or tom, providing a low-profile, tour-quality solution without the need for a mic stand.
Designed for toms and snare drums, the RM2 saves you loads of setup time and offers industry-leading compatibility with a wide range of metal drum hoop types and suspension mounts.

- Smaller, stronger case The new SKB road case is highly durable, so you won't have to worry about transporting your gear on tours.
