Description
Description
Suhr is an American brand synonymous with high-end professional gear, focusing on guitars, amps, and effects pedals. Many of the top players admired by guitar fans, including Michael Landau, Scott Henderson, Pete Thorn, and more recently Mateus Asato, use gear bearing the Suhr name, making the brand a familiar name in Japan as well.
The newly arrived model is the Standard Plus, featuring a Dinky shape that's easier to handle than a traditional full-size body. This classic component guitar body combines basswood, which offers a subtle, easy-to-use tone and a good resonance, with maple, which offers a bright tone with a moderate contour and attack. It's equipped with a Gotoh two-point synchronized tremolo, a highly reliable choice for guitar manufacturers like Suhr. The die-cast saddles provide a sound that's not too traditional, making this a versatile component guitar.
Of course, the maple top is made of wood with a beautiful flame pattern, giving it the look of a component guitar.
Previously, the Pro Series featured a non-roasted maple neck, but this model has been upgraded to a roasted maple neck, a standard feature on high-end guitars in recent years. The neck features a matte finish that feels comfortable in the hand, and the Standard Series' signature Even C Slim shape ensures comfortable playing even over long periods of time. The perfluoro fingerboard features a compound radius tailored to the playing characteristics of both the high and low positions, and the stainless steel frets provide a sharp, fast-attacking sound. Another plus is that you don't have to worry about rust or wear, which can occur with nickel silver frets.
The pickups are V60 single coils in the neck and middle positions, faithfully reproducing the single coil sound of the 1960s, which had the best sound character of the time, and an SSH+ in the bridge position, which is one of Suhr's highest output humbuckers.
The V60 produces a crisp, well-defined single-coil sound that's versatile, ranging from beautiful, bell-like tones to thick, bluesy tones. The SSH+ produces a high-output pickup that doesn't overwhelm with power alone; it has a thick, warm, and rich sound with a natural picking response.
The tone pot is a push/push switch pot, allowing single sound output from the rear alone.
Of course, the front and center single coils are equipped with JST's proprietary hum-canceling system SSCII (Silent Single-Coil), so even in a high-gain setup, they output low noise without losing their individual tone.
This is a high-cost performance model produced by Suhr Guitars, a leading high-end component guitar brand that enjoys tremendous support from top musicians around the world.
This is a truly satisfying guitar that meets the player's needs at a high level and represents the essence of a component guitar!
