★The MK2 model features re-cable compatibility and an aluminum case holder, improving listening comfort and ease of use.
The successor to the SR-L700. The cable is now detachable and the case holder is made of highly rigid aluminum.
Features - Re-cable compatible The earspeaker features a replaceable cable (re-cable construction), which has become a trend in high-quality headphones in recent years. This improves the usability of the earspeaker by enabling future compatibility with high-quality cables and easy maintenance in the event of an unexpected cable break.
The SR-L700MK2 comes with a wide, low-capacity parallel 6-core cable made of 6N (99.9999%) OFC and silver-plated annealed copper wire, the same cable used in the top-of-the-line SR-009S model. This ensures reliable signal transmission without loss of sound clarity.
・The change in the aluminum case holder material allows for greater freedom in mechanical design. In the MK2 model, the case holder has been changed from the previous linear design to a gently curved design, which has the effect of making the ear pads fit more naturally to the temples of the head. In addition, its high rigidity reduces unnecessary distortion and twisting when worn, significantly improving the fit (closeness of fit). With open-back ear speakers, increased closeness when worn contributes greatly to improved low-frequency reproduction.
