Description

★3124V stereo mixer/transformer balanced output model

Both the 3124V and 3124MV are designed with professional engineers in mind and feature four of the highest quality microphone preamps.
The 3124MV also includes an audio mixer with floating balanced output using an output transformer, yet maintains a 1U size and reasonable price.
Both models are ideal for use in control rooms, studios, recording vehicles and live stages.

The 3124MV utilizes the same microphone preamp circuitry used in all API consoles.
It also features the RE-115K microphone input transformer and output transformer used in all API EQs.
It also has variable output level control, switchable 3:1 output transformer selection, and 48V phantom power switches on the front panel for each channel.
In addition, a -20dB pad switch is provided on the front panel for each channel, common to both the microphone and line inputs.
A 1/4" phone jack on the rear panel is available for each channel and is installed as an insert between the mic preamp output and the mixer input.

An output level control is included to allow compatibility with any DAW or other level-sensitive devices.
Additionally, the 3:1 output transformer tap selection provides a 9.5dB output attenuator.

Like the 3124V, the 3124MV has up to 65dB of gain.
The Hi-Z input on the front panel is connected directly to the op amp.
It is possible to increase the input level of low-level, high-impedance instruments such as electric guitars and basses without passing them through a DI.
This Hi-Z input can accept input levels up to +20dBu, making it ideal for keyboards and other high-input electronic instruments.
The rear panel output is an XLR connector.

Additionally, the 3124MV features a stereo pan pot with level control and a post-fader AUX send.

The stereo panner signal and the AUX send signal are sent to the rear panel connector via the master output control.
The stereo aux return can be used as a return for external effects or as an input for the master out of a mixer that can be cascaded for additional input.
A unique stereo aux return pot acts as a panner to balance the left or right signal.
As an application, it is also possible to make it a mono return.

Features: Classic API discrete circuit design, API's original 2520 op-amp, variable output level control, 3:1 output transformer tap selection, 4 XLR mic inputs, 4 1/4" unbalanced inputs, front panel polarity reverse switch, front panel -20dB pad, front panel mic/line selector switch, front panel 48V phantom power switch
