Description

AD conversion is performed through a high-quality analog circuit equipped with a discrete microphone preamplifier by API (Auto Processes, Inc.) 2520 op amp, which is highly popular among many studio engineers.

The discrete microphone preamp equipped with API's traditional 2520 op-amp and the 192kHz compatible AD converter with built-in SuperClock convert API's sound directly into studio quality.
The "2520" op-amp is synonymous with API. It features two channels of the same microphone preamp as the "3124+," and is characterized by its crisp, solid sound.

Features
The A2D's analog section features two of the classic API 312 mic preamps, which are also half of the famous rack-mounted 3124 quad mic preamp.
The extended 20-segment LED meter allows for precise microphone gain control.
Each channel is equipped with control switches for polarity, +48V phantom power, input pad, 2:1 transformer routing, and mic/line select.
Each analog input is equipped with a balanced XLR connector and a 1/4-inch phone jack.

The A2D's digital section is equipped with a line level controller to provide the optimum signal level to the AD converters, and a 20-segment LED meter for level monitoring.
A multi-position switch selects the sample rate, and the External Sync LED lights up when an external sync signal is present.

The analog connectors on the rear panel are equipped with XLR balanced input/output connectors for each channel. A 1/4-inch TRS phone jack is also provided for inserting, allowing AD conversion while connecting other devices such as equalizers and compressors to the side chain.
The digital output connectors are equipped with two types: an S/PDIF RCA pin connector and an AES/EBU XLR connector.
The coaxial BNC connector is for external sync signal input, and the external sync LED on the front panel lights up when a Super Clock is detected.
Additionally, a 9-pin D-SUB connector is provided for linking multiple A2D units together, with the linked A2Ds locked to the sync signal of the first device.
