FAQ

Description

Arai Trading was founded in 1956. Around 1963, they began manufacturing electric guitars, and after going through brands such as Arai and Arai Diamond, they established the Aria acoustic guitar line and the Aria Pro II electric guitar/bass line. Since then, they have produced numerous classic instruments, including their signature "PE" series, which continues to this day.

This time we have the brand's representative PE series professional model "PE-150", a rare 1983 specification.

【body】
The total weight is approximately 4.2 kg. The body is a three-ply construction of curly maple/mahogany/maple, with beautiful curves on both the top and back, making it extremely well-crafted. The honey sunburst color is rare for a PE model, giving it a special feel. There are some minor scratches and dents, scratches on the buckle on the back of the body, and some tarnish and missing plating on the metal parts, but the gloss of the paint remains in excellent condition. Some of the pickups and screws on the back plate have been replaced.

【neck】
The neck is made of five pieces of mahogany and maple with an ebony fingerboard and a set neck joint. One of the PE's selling points is the heelless cutaway, which is cut to blend in with the body. While there are some minor scratches, there are no noticeable nicks and it's in excellent condition. The tuner knob for the first string has some catching, but this does not interfere with normal use. The nut was replaced at our shop, and there is little wear on the frets, so playability is excellent. The nut width is approximately 43.0mm. The thin neck shape and heelless cutaway allow for effortless playing even on the higher frets.

[Electrical system]
The controls are simple: two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector switch. The pickups have been replaced with a set of Tonerider Alnico 2 Classic pickups. The bass delivers a rich, powerful, and vibrant sound, complemented by a clear, crisp tone for a rich, clear sound. Experience a comfortable range of tones, from clean to drive.
