Description
The Overdrive Preamp 250 50th Anniversary is a specially hand-built model in the USA, limited to 1,974 units worldwide, featuring pots and other controls that conform to the specifications of the original model, recreating the feel and range of the original controls.
As a special feature, it is equipped with a three-position toggle switch, allowing you to select three modes.
"SILICON" provides a faithful reproduction of the original sound, while "Ge/ASYM" provides a drive sound achieved through the asymmetric clipping of vintage germanium diodes.
"LIFT" isolates diode clipping from the signal path, making it an excellent clean boost, and the vintage LM741 op amp also makes it effective as a drive boost at higher amp gain settings.
The lightweight aluminum housing has a Metal Flake Gray finish and classic yellow print, giving it a fresh design while still following the original color scheme.
It's adorned with a 50th anniversary aluminum badge and its neon yellow-green status LEDs match the housing color.
It features true bypass, preventing tone degradation even when the pedal is off.
