Psychederhythm is a brand that has gained extensive experience working with professional musicians, generously incorporating the knowledge and skills acquired there, and has received high praise from many professional musicians. This "STANDARD" model is a unique instrument that strongly reflects the brand's distinctive attention to detail, even within a simple JB style.

The model we have just received is a rare 5-string model with an extremely limited production run. It features a maple top and an alder back, employing the same laminate construction method as the brand's latest 4-string models. This construction brings out the nuances of the alder back while also contributing to a crisp attack. The neck has a natural fingerboard radius and a very firm grip, while the satin (matte) finish on the back provides excellent playability. The deliberate choice to use a neck with a strong hold rather than a modern ultra-thin neck shows attention to detail, and this, of course, has a significant impact on the sound.

The crucial sound inherits a so-called vintage feel, yet possesses a punchy, full-bodied midrange, resulting in a very thick sound. This is due not only to advanced manufacturing techniques, but also largely to the German-made "Delano JMVC 5 FE/M2L" pickups, for which the company acts as the import agent. These pickups achieve a natural feel while also possessing a slightly modern attack. The large pole pieces capture string vibrations in detail, resulting in an excellent balance between each string, producing rich bass, warm midrange, and sparkling treble. The preamp also uses the "Delano Sonar 3MS/E." In addition to a highly effective and natural-sounding 3-band EQ, a switch allows for switching the midrange frequency, enabling a wide range of sound shaping. A passive switch is also included, allowing you to select the traditional passive sound, so you can experience the robust sound of the instrument itself without relying solely on the preamp.

The bridge is a "Gotoh 404BO," and it offers two types of stringing options: top-load and through-body, allowing you to change the string tension to your preference. In addition to the selection of parts, the adoption of a 35-inch neck and solid construction provide a moderate tension even on the low B, enabling accurate intonation even in the lower register.

And, as always, the highly popular color scheme is featured in this model, "Phantom Blue Metallic." This exquisite piece boasts a sophisticated look with its perfectly matched headstock. The larger body and neck give this 5-string bass, which can often feel heavy, a pleasantly pop feel. While adhering to the brand's classic sound and specifications, this ambitious model incorporates new nuances as a kind of spice, such as the body material and pickups.
