FAQ

Description

60 years have passed since the birth of the first FG in 1966.
This special feature explores the identity of Yamaha acoustic guitars through their history, sound design, technology, manufacturing, and testimonials from their users.

The book includes interviews with musicians who use the guitar, such as Kosetsu Minami and Utano Shiraku, as well as an explanation by the design team about the evolution of the FG series from the first generation to the current FG9/FS9, and how they utilize acoustic analysis and simulation in their acoustic design and electronics-related technologies.
Furthermore, it includes testimonies from manufacturing facilities both domestically and internationally, music store staff, and a collector who owns as many as 213 Yamaha guitars.
This special 60th-anniversary edition explores the reasons behind Yamaha guitars' long-standing popularity from multiple perspectives: history, people, technology, manufacturing, and current lineup.
