A used Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 with a Bigsby tremolo system, based on the 1964 model, has arrived!

This is a '64 specification model characterized by its thin neck, small block inlays, small pickguard, and open-wound center block!

The body's horn cutaway has been made slimmer, and the body thickness has been reduced to approximately 41mm, bringing it closer to the original details. This body thickness fits comfortably against the body, allowing you to feel the instrument's breath more deeply while playing. This sense of unity with the instrument is the wonderful thing about vintage reissues from custom shops!

While 1958-1959 335s feature a thick neck shape known as a "fat neck," this 1964 model has a medium C-shape neck, resulting in a different tone and playability. The fat neck produces a dense, straightforward tone, whereas this model has a tighter, more open, and vibrant sound. The neck thickness is neither too thin nor too thick, making playing in the higher positions stress-free!

Furthermore, this unit features a custom-made plate and a Bigsby tremolo. Its unique presence is sure to captivate fans!

Regarding the condition of this particular instrument, there are some paint scratches and pick marks around the body's perimeter, minor scuffs near the controls, and a paint spot on the left side of the body top that appears to be from manufacturing, but there are no noticeable scratches that detract from its appearance.
The frets have over 90% remaining, the truss rod has plenty of adjustment range in both tightening and loosening directions, and the electronics are in perfect working order. This guitar can still be used for many years to come.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
