Skjold Design Guitars are high-quality, handmade basses crafted with care for the player, from sourcing the wood to woodworking and painting, drawing on the experience and sensibilities of luthier Pete Skjold, a professional bass player.
You can hear its amazing sound through its use by David Dyson and Damian Erskine, but it's a fantastic instrument that gives you great hints on how to create groove from the sound and resonance of the instrument.

This instrument features a top made of carefully selected cocobolo wood on a high-quality ash body, and the headstock, neck heel, pickup covers, and even the wooden knobs are all crafted from the same cocobolo wood.

By employing a bolt-on construction on an ash body with just the right weight, this instrument boasts a wide dynamic range. The tight and powerful low B note alone is impressive enough, but it also possesses an open and organic sound, resulting in a high-quality instrument that reaffirms Pete Chord's talent.

The electronics feature original soapbar pickups and an original preamp made by East, UK, which are essential to the Skjold sound, allowing for a wide range of sound shaping, from flat settings to glossy and powerful active sounds.
The powerful and dynamic slap sound when the EQ is boosted is fantastic, and it's no exaggeration to say that it's the only instrument that can rival the MTD in terms of its bold and open tone!

The condition is good, with only a few minor dents on the side of the body, and otherwise only slight tarnishing on the metal parts, considering its age. Functional aspects such as fret wear and truss rod adjustment are also fine.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and confirmed at the time of dispatch.
