[1.2mm Steel Shell with 8 line ridges]
While many brands were releasing snare drums with steel shells, this model, which uses a thicker-than-usual 1.2mm shell, achieves a heavy and powerful attack, delivering exactly the sound rock drummers were looking for.
The distinctive eight-line pattern on the shell has also been reproduced.


【18-strand Carbon Steel Long Snare Wires (Full-face contact snare wires)】
It features an 18-strand carbon steel snare wire and filament tape with a full-contact system, faithfully reproducing the specifications of the time.
Compared to the internal contact method, only the snare wire contacts the underside head, resulting in a more sensitive response.


【Roller Action Strainer】
This is a revolutionary strainer that achieves subtle tonal expression and a voluminous buzz sound with full-contact snare wire, while improving operability with a simple design.
The key components are the guide rollers that move up and down within a 3mm width, and the small springs that assist their movement.
This design allows for a greater drop in the snare wire, and utilizes the spring's repulsive force to ensure the guide roller reliably separates from the drumhead.
This made it easy to switch the strainer on and off, and its simple structure attracted considerable attention.
This strainer, which had once been discontinued, has been faithfully reproduced in this new model. You can once again experience its unique tone and ease of use.


【6302N Strainer】
A Strainer Switch Bat that faithfully reproduces the original.
In particular, we even reproduced the "OWARIASAHI/AICHI JAPAN" engraving on the strainer switch, which signifies Owariasahi City in Aichi Prefecture, the place where TAMA drums were produced at the time.
Furthermore, durability has been improved by changing the diameter of the square-head bolts used to secure the filament tape retaining plate from 4mm to 5mm.


【Die-Cast Hoop (10 holes)】
While 10-tension die-cast hoops were not common in the early 1980s, they were applied to all Mastercraft series guitars to achieve a clear attack and a well-defined sound.
The snare side hoop features a redesigned shape with a window to prevent the snare wire from touching the floor.


[One Touch Tone Control]
An inside muffler developed for the original Mastercraft snare drum.
When Mastercraft was first released, recording technology was not yet advanced, and sound control of the drums themselves was crucial, so it was adopted in many drum kits.
In particular, the One Touch Tone Control was highly praised as a groundbreaking idea because it allowed for subtle adjustments to the amount of mute and one-touch on/off switching.
This mechanism, which allows for instantaneous sound switching during performance, expands the possibilities of sound even in today's age of advanced recording technology.

We have reproduced the original T-shaped Superstar emblem.
Additionally, the original Superstar lugs have been reproduced in appearance.
