What is the California Core Series?
This JAPAN MADE series features the core components of the instrument sourced from the USA, the home of electric guitars, while the lacquer painting, assembly, and final adjustments are all completed using high-level Japanese technology.
It is designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind, a clear and resonant sound, rich expressiveness that can be achieved through fingertip touch, and the elimination of dead spots (areas where the sound decays quickly) common in conventional basses, allowing for stress-free playing in any position.

The XJ-Core is based on a simple passive design. While it has an alder/rosewood body, the pickup placement is in the style of a 70s JB, meaning the rear pickup is about 1 cm closer to the bridge compared to a 60s type, which creates a unique attack. It takes advantage of the rich harmonics provided by the passive circuit, while maintaining a clean and clear tone, and the resonance of the lower strings, such as the B string, which tend to sound muddy, is output in a well-balanced manner.

Thanks to its simple construction, it responds readily to the player's touch, making it a reliable instrument suitable for all genres, and it seems to be a favorite among professionals.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and confirmed at the time of dispatch.
