Description
The Fender Precision Bass, the company's first solid-body electric bass guitar, was born and released in 1951. Following the success of the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass was released later, and both continue to influence the music scene today.

This particular guitar was shipped around 1973. It features a custom-colored ash body in blonde and a popular one-piece maple neck.

【body】
The overall weight is relatively light at approximately 3.8 kg. The body material is ash, a custom specification for this period. The blonde color, which subtly but beautifully showcases the ash wood grain, shows signs of fading and discoloration, giving it a vintage instrument-like character. The body finish from this period is "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss," which uses polyester as a base coat. While there are some weather checking, dents, paint peeling and rubber burn marks, cracks in the pickguard, and tarnishing of the metal parts, mainly on the back of the body, it can be said to be in relatively good condition.

The neck and fingerboard are made of one piece of maple. There is some sun fading on the headstock, dents mainly on the back of the neck, and tarnishing on the metal parts, but like the body, it is in relatively good condition. The tuners have some inconsistency in tightness, but they function properly. The frets have been replaced once, and although the overall set is on the lower side, the playability is good. The fingerboard surface was repainted during the refretting. The headstock thickness is 14.8mm. The nut width is 41.6mm. The neck shape has a comfortable width and a relatively solid thickness.

[Electrical System]
The controls are the standard master volume/master tone. The pickups are gray bobbins with clearly visible dating. The pickups and control components are in their original condition.

This custom model from this period features a lightweight ash body and a one-piece maple fretboard, resulting in an exquisite tone reminiscent of the 1950s. It boasts a tight yet rich low-mid range, and the maple fretboard provides a crisp attack and clear, articulate mid-high frequencies. It responds well to picking and fingerstyle nuances, allowing you to fully enjoy the distinctive Fender Precision Bass sound.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
