Description
Since the early days of Japanese-made guitars in the 1960s, Yamaha has developed numerous original models with a strong sense of individuality. In particular, from the 1970s onward, they have produced hit models such as the SG and BB, earning high praise both domestically and internationally, especially among fans of Japanese vintage guitars.

This time we have in stock the SC-800 from the SC series, which appeared around 1977. It's a model that is reminiscent of F-Company models from the same era as the SF series, SA series, and the BB bass series, which continues to this day.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.5 kg. The body is made of alder, and the body color is Yamaha's classic yellow natural. It features a distinctive body shape that seems to be inspired by the ST type. Although there are some scratches, dents, and tarnishing on the metal parts, which are typical damage for its age, the paint is in good condition and retains a beautiful shine.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple with a striped ebony fingerboard and 21 frets. Until the model change, this model, including the higher-end models, features a hardtail design without a tremolo. The tuners function properly, although there is some slight variation in the winding. There are a few dents on the back of the neck. The frets and nut are slightly worn, but there is no extreme buzzing or dead spots, and playability is good. The nut width is approximately 41.5mm. The sleek neck shape is typical of Yamaha.

[Electrical System]
The controls are very simple, with just one volume and one tone knob, but the key is the three "three-position phase switches." These switches allow you to toggle the phase of each pickup and turn it off, resulting in a total of 13 different combinations. While it doesn't have a bi-sound feature, it offers a wide variety of sounds.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
