-Bosphorus Cymbals-
Bosphorus Cymbals was founded in 1996 by three cymbal makers: Hasan Seker, Ibrahim Yakici, and Hasan Ozdemir. These three are among the most experienced and active cymbal makers in Turkey and are known as "masters."
The three founders of Bosphorus were close childhood friends who became cymbal makers at a very young age, diligently training and mastering every step of the cymbal-making process. Their mentors were masters who created legendary cymbals in the 1960s and 70s, and they learned traditional manufacturing methods from them.
After working at that workshop for 16 years, the three men established their own company. They still maintain good relationships with their former employees and continue to work on cymbal making with respect for the mentor who taught them the craft.
Bosphorus Cymbals currently employs 16 cymbal makers, eight of whom are apprentices. Three cymbal masters, drawing on nearly 30 years of experience, continue to handcraft cymbals in the workshop, helping their apprentices create perfect cymbals.

<1600 ERA Ride>
Since its founding in 1996, Bosphorus has consistently adhered to handmade manufacturing methods that do not rely on machinery, continuing to produce each piece with masterful craftsmanship.
Based on the technology cultivated throughout their lineup to date, the "1600 ERA," a model that can be described as a return to their roots, has been released.
Inspired by the 16th century when cymbal manufacturing began, we have recreated a delicate and mellow vintage sound.
It delivers a low cymbal resonance and delicate stick sound, with just the right amount of overtones to create a sense of spatial breadth and depth. The cup produces a bright, crisp, and dry crash sound.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

■ Stock

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and confirmed at the time of dispatch.

■ Taxes & Duties

Import duties, taxes, and fees are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These fees are typically collected by the carrier upon delivery or at pickup. Please check with your country’s customs office for details before purchasing.

We cannot declare a reduced item value or mark purchases as gifts.
