Description

~A limited edition cherry blossom guitar for Spring 2026~

A limited-edition cherry blossom guitar for 2026, featuring a design that captures the essence of spring, is now available in the STD series. Using domestically sourced cherry wood, and guided by the philosophy of expressing the beauty of cherry blossoms through both sound and appearance, this guitar fully captures the allure of the cherry blossom.

The cherry blossom gradation evokes the image of cherry blossoms swaying in the moonlight. While contrasting with the light cherry blossom gradation in another color of the same model, which is inspired by sunlight filtering through trees, the common feature of this gradation is the application of pink pearl on top, evoking the image of cherry blossoms dancing in the night breeze and the shimmering night sky.

The sides and back are made from wild cherry wood (Yamazakura) harvested in Japan. It has a very hard characteristic and produces a sweet sound unique to cherry wood, while also having a peak in the low-mid range.

~Design~

The headpiece features a woman with a Japanese umbrella, a design that evokes a sense of Japanese tradition, and is the theme of recent cherry blossom models.
The brushstroke-style design evokes a Japanese aesthetic, and together with the fretboard inlays, it creates a cohesive overall aesthetic.

The inlay work expresses a Japanese aesthetic, using multiple materials to depict the winding trunk of a cherry tree, resulting in a design that evokes the spirit of Japan.

34 Semi-Forward Shifted Bracing
Headway Master Builder Yasuo Momose inherited a bracing design he developed after studying the bracing of a vintage 1934 guitar. The X-shaped cross position is semi-forward shifted, closer to the soundhole, resulting in better bass response and a fuller sound than when new. The design also takes into consideration the stability of the top plate, as it is positioned about 5mm closer to the bridge than a standard forward shift.
