Description
The Peace Hill FX has finally arrived at Osaka Premium Amplifiers!
With a workshop in Minoh City in northern Osaka Prefecture, this highly acclaimed brand supports the feet of guitarists around the world with its carefully selected parts and meticulous handcrafting.
The model we've just received is the "ODS Tube Preamp." Among the brand's signature D-amp pedal-type preamps, this practical model features two channels: a creamy and crisp clean channel and a high-gain channel boasting independent volume control and expressive, long sustain. Furthermore, per our store's special order, we've added a bypass switch and a footswitch for channel switching, making it even more practical and flexible for foot-operated operation.
The clear dynamic range makes you feel like you're operating a high-output amp head, and the contrast between the exquisite and satisfying compression that responds to your picking with a "pop." The distinctive mid-range character unique to D amps is captured in a large sound image, making it the very definition of a guitar amp.
The smoothness of the beautifully crafted suede Tolex and the internal wiring technology, which has reached the level of art, underscore the perfection of this unit's sound. Please experience this product, which has been meticulously crafted not only for its sound but also for every last detail.
This is a two-channel tube preamp modeled after the iconic Dumbledore-style boutique amp. Its versatile clean channel, developed from a modified Fender amp, and its harmonically rich drive channel, generated purely by tubes, have supported the most memorable performances of guitarists throughout history. The two channels can be switched using the onboard footswitch or a remote switch (optional).
By placing it at the end of the effects chain and connecting it to the preamp and the return of various amplifiers, you can get a more consistent tube sound in any studio. In addition to the return connection, it is also effective just by connecting it to the input of a transistor amplifier.
It is recommended to connect modulation and spatial pedals to the rear of this unit.
When used with a line connection to a PC via an audio interface, it provides a more natural electric guitar sound. It can also be connected directly to various speaker simulator pedals.
*About Controls*
・GAIN: Adjusts the input gain to the Clean ch.
Bright: Adds high frequencies to the sound. Does not function when GAIN is at maximum.
・Deep: Lowers the center of gravity of the sound, making it deeper.
・Rock/Jazz: Changes the overall volume and changes the characteristics of the 3-band EQ.
3-Band EQ: This is an improved version of a Fender-style EQ, and its effect changes seamlessly with the aforementioned GAIN and various mini switches. Try out various combinations.
・OD ch LEVEL: Determines the input volume (distortion depth) to the OD ch. The Clean ch GAIN setting also affects the distortion depth.
・OD ch RATIO: Determines the volume of the OD ch. Adjust the volume difference with the Clean ch here.
MASTER: Adjusts the overall volume. This does not affect the tone of the preamp itself, so you can bring the sound you create at home directly to the studio.
