FAQ

Description

The Marauder, with its body shape reminiscent of a Les Paul model and a headstock reminiscent of a Flying V, was released in 1975. It has enjoyed great popularity, especially since the 2000s, due to its popularity among Japanese artists. It is said that approximately 7,000 units were produced between 1975 and 1979, as listed in the catalog.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.2 kg. The body is made of mahogany. Gibson's signature walnut brown color from this period matches the grain of the mahogany perfectly. There are some dents and scratches, belt buckle marks on the back of the body, a chipped pickguard, and some tarnished metal parts, but the instrument is in good condition, typical of a vintage instrument. The pickguard set screws and strap pins (locking type) have been replaced.

【neck】
The neck, with its eye-catching FV-style headstock, is a 3-piece maple detachable (bolt-on) construction. The fingerboard is rosewood. There are some minor dents around the headstock and back of the neck, but the condition is relatively good. The tuners feature stylish keystone buttons with a flower logo, and although there is some variation in winding tightness, they function well. The frets are generally low, but have been filed down and there is no significant choking. The nut width is 42.8mm. The neck shape is relatively solid.

[Electrical system]
This guitar comes with the standard Marauder specifications: master volume, pickup rotary control, and master tone. The output jack has been replaced, and the pot appears to have been replaced a short time after shipping. The pickups and tone capacitors remain the same as they were back then. It offers a clean, clear tone with plenty of crunch and overdrive action. This is a guitar you'll want to rock out on stage.
