Description

This is a one-of-a-kind Custom Shop model, packed with the craftsmanship of Headway's master builder, Masato Yasui!
Yasui uses rare materials to create visually stunning guitars, and the result is a gorgeous and dazzling guitar that combines the 2025 zodiac sign, the snake, with Headway's cherry blossoms to create a one-of-a-kind worldview!

[Masato Yasui's "Misakura"]
The gorgeous design combines the snake, the zodiac sign for 2025, with Headway's signature cherry blossom motif, making this a truly gorgeous show model worthy of its name. Motifs inspired by materials, such as a "woman with a Japanese umbrella" walking down a road lined with falling cherry blossoms, and a white snake, prized since ancient times as a lucky charm, are featured throughout the guitar, expressing a unique worldview.

[A special edition with a dignified and beautiful design featuring snakewood accents throughout]

Snakewood is a rare material rarely found in guitars. Native to Central and South America, this wood is extremely hard and heavy, with a specific gravity of 1.2-1.3, making it so dense that it sinks in water. Furthermore, because the trunk is so thin, the amount of lumber suitable for guitars is extremely limited, making it a special material that is rarely available on the market due to its rarity. This snakewood is used lavishly not only in the centerpiece of the back body, but also in the fingerboard, ferrule, and pickguard.

The sides and back are crafted from the finest mountain cherry wood with a tiger grain pattern. This exquisite wood combination is only possible with a single custom shop model. The back of a woman holding a Japanese umbrella walking through a flurry of cherry blossom petals is inlaid with white mother-of-pearl, creating a design that expresses the beauty of Japanese culture, with a sense of tranquility yet elegance.

The head is made of rare snakewood, a material with a grain reminiscent of snake scales. It is combined with other high-quality materials, including white mother-of-pearl, and features a design based on the white snake, which has been revered as a lucky charm since ancient times. Furthermore, by combining it with auspicious Japanese patterns, the delicate beauty of the Japanese patterns is superimposed with the dignified presence of the white snake, resulting in a high-quality, symbolic head design.

All of the other snake designs throughout the guitar are based on the motif of a white snake, giving the guitar a unified design and creating an overwhelming presence.

The sound hole cover, which has become synonymous with this limited edition model, is hand-carved with snakes and cherry blossoms using the traditional Karuizawa carving technique by Karuizawa Carving Shibazaki. The wood carving is hand-painted by Kurasuwa Kobo, a company that also carries on the art of wood carving in Karuizawa, and the rich color and texture that can only be achieved through traditional techniques are appealing.

[From creator Masato Yasui]
We were fortunate enough to obtain snakewood, a rare material for guitars. Native to Central and South America, this wood is extremely hard and heavy, with a specific gravity of 1.2-1.3, making it so dense it sinks in water. Furthermore, its slender trunks mean that only a limited number of pieces of wood large enough for guitars are available. Due to its rarity, it is a truly one-of-a-kind material. This guitar combines snakewood with premium mountain cherry wood, creating a design themed around "snakes" and "cherry blossoms." Snakewood is lavishly used throughout the headstock, fingerboard, bridge, pickguard, rosette, and back center. While its processing requires advanced techniques, it produces a unique sound that combines powerful bass notes and solid, sparkling high notes unmatched by other woods. The mountain cherry wood is of the finest quality, with a dense, beautiful grain, creating a truly unique tone. The back of the bag is inlaid with white mother-of-pearl, depicting the back of a woman holding a Japanese umbrella walking through a flurry of falling cherry blossoms, expressing the beauty of Japan that combines serenity and elegance. I poured all of my sensibility and skill into this piece. I hope you will experience with your own hands and ears the moment when refined "beauty" and "skill" resonate with each other.

A one-of-a-kind, extremely auspicious guitar!
