Description
Description
The design of the footboard, which is key to playing, has been changed to a flat surface, allowing for smooth footwork even when using slide playing.
In addition, the bearing fixing method has been changed to the same mechanism as the Speed Cobra, achieving smooth action without compromising the power of the Iron Cobra.
The Iron Cobra pedal has continued to evolve over 20 years since its debut and is still a best-selling model loved by drummers around the world.
[New Footboard]
The flat surface of the footboard allows for smooth footwork even when performing slide techniques.
In addition, the Oiles bearings used in the hinge section, which serves as the footboard's fulcrum, provide smooth action and outstanding stability with minimal footboard wobble.
The new model has a thicker shaft diameter and is more durable.
[New Pedal Housing]
The bearings on both ends of the shaft are fixed using a new mechanism that is also used in the Speed Cobra.
Mounting the bearings in a way that allows them to function most efficiently ensures smooth pedal action.
[Flexi Glide Cam]
The unique action of the cam strap action continues to attract many fans. The strap is made of Kevlar*, allowing you to enjoy light and agile footwork as if it were one with your leg. *Kevlar is a registered trademark of DuPont.
◆Cobra Coil
The Cobra Coil enables the physically opposing actions of "light stepping" and "quick return."
The coil touches the underside of the footboard just before it hits the ground, assisting the footboard's return.
By moving the mounting position forward or backward, you can fine-tune the position where it starts to hit.
◆Speedo-Ring
High-precision ball bearings are used in the roller part of the rocker cam, which transmits spring tension to the shaft.
By thoroughly reducing loss in moving parts, we have achieved quick response.
◆Para-Clamp II
The hoop clamp's tip fits according to the angle, even when the front of the bass drum is raised.
It can be securely fixed with a T-bolt next to the footboard, and the height can be adjusted to suit the thickness of the wood hoop.
◆Spring Tight
The design eliminates spring twist for smooth, even action.
It also comes equipped with a locking nut, so even when the tension is adjusted to a high level, the spring will not loosen during play.
◆Vari-Pitch Beater Holder
Beater/footboard angle adjustment function in combination with Speedo-Ring.
The distance at which the beater hits the bass drum head can be fine-tuned in a stepless manner without affecting the angle of the footboard.
◆Iron Cobra Beater
Hitting the ball across the wide surface of the head produces a punchy attack.
In addition, the beater head can be replaced with rubber or wood (sold separately), allowing for a variety of sound creations.
