Versatile stage gear that evolves with improved playability
The neck is made of five pieces of jatoba and walnut, slim and easy to grip. The nut is 38mm wide and the thickness at the first fret is less than 20mm, making for an ultra-compact neck. End adjustment makes adjustments easy.
The top and back of the SR body are made of okoume wood, which produces a fat and warm bass response, and are molded into a three-dimensional arch shape for a stress-free fit. The top jack cavity design also reduces the risk of damage to the jack when the SR body is placed on a stand.
Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-range frequency selector and EQ bypass switch
The SR's greatest feature is its wide-range, low-noise active equalizer (powered by 006P alkaline batteries). The midrange frequency band, essential for bass sound, can be adjusted to 250Hz, 450Hz, or 700Hz with the flip of a switch. The EQ bypass switch also allows use as a passive bass guitar when the battery is dead. (When bypassed, tone control is provided by the Treble knob.)
- The Accu-cast B500 bridge saddle can be moved left and right by ±1.5mm, allowing you to freely set the string pitch within a constant range.
- Bartolini BH2 pickup: This pickup features a balanced, warm response with a tight bottom end and rich midrange.
