A new germanium fuzz pedal featuring a new circuit developed by Akima Tsuneo is now available!!
This pedal features three germanium transistors, resulting in a remarkably lively drive tone.
Like the brand's Bite Master booster/overdrive, the "Bite" control adjusts the gain to respond to your picking, and from 12 o'clock onwards, it starts to produce a juicy distortion. Combined with the "Gain" control, which adjusts the overall amount of distortion, it allows for the creation of a thick, three-dimensional, and solid sound. Although it's a fuzz, it doesn't have a character where the attack gets crushed; rather, its presence and sharp low-frequency response are reminiscent of a Plexi Marshall, giving it a traditional and big sound.
Experience the "Germa Bite Super," a fully hand-wired pedal crafted by Akima&Neos, experts in vintage fuzz pedals!
This isn't just a pedal inspired by vintage fuzz pedals of the past; it's a completely new type of fuzz pedal with three germanium transistors, designed from scratch while drawing inspiration from the sounds of legendary pedals that have gone down in history.
Many traditional British-style fuzz pedals make it difficult to find the sweet spot, and simply playing with aggressive, harsh control settings often results in the sound being completely inaudible in a band ensemble, making it impractical for creating a sound.
Therefore, with the Germa Bite Super, we designed it to suppress the saturation and low-frequency compression that were weaknesses of previous fuzz pedals, and to produce a denser distortion.
And what do you know! The result is a fuzz pedal that sounds incredibly close to the distortion of a 60s-70s tube amp, with long sustain!
Indeed, germanium transistors are truly magical amplification elements.
The controls consist of three controls: gain, byte, and level.
The output level is set very high, just like with previous Akima & Neos products, allowing for very clear and smooth sound shaping, similar to the operation of distortion and overdrive pedals.
I really want everyone to experience this fuzz sound that impressed me so much.
