The Valita Custom Guitars were perfected by studio musicians who demand a variety of playing styles and sounds!

Based on the fundamental design of the USA-made Soltar, and under the full supervision of Shozo Shimura, who has maintained and set up guitars for renowned guitarists such as Masaki Matsubara and Tsuyoshi Kon, this Made-in-Japan model possesses the nuances and sound that guitarists demand down to the smallest detail.

This is the 5053 Quilt model, featuring a beautiful quilted maple top and an alder back. The basic construction is a bolt-on design, with a maple neck that has been carefully straightened and a high-quality rosewood fingerboard.

The neck grip features a slim, smooth shape that ensures a stress-free playing experience for both chords and lead playing. It boasts 22 medium-sized frets and a flat 10R fingerboard radius. Handcrafted to maintain the width, thickness, and shape that have been hallmarks of USA Soltar guitars, this instrument is meticulously crafted.

The neck and body joint features a slanted heel cut, and the back of the cutaway on the treble side is similarly deep-cut, providing excellent playability in the higher positions regardless of the situation. The neck pocket and pickup cavity are also processed to the bare minimum, and the structure has been meticulously designed through careful calculations to ensure it can withstand long playing sessions.

The hardware is also meticulously crafted and professional-grade!
The machine heads are Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners with a staggered design that eliminates string guides and features lower post heights from the 6th to the 1st string. This ensures consistent string tension when changing strings and improves tuning stability.

The bridge is the Wilkinson VS-100, a familiar name in custom guitars. Its two-point support structure provides smooth tremolo action and tuning stability, while its unique saddle shape contributes to a fat, resonant tone and excellent sustain.

The exquisite sound produced by handcrafted wood materials using carefully selected woods, combined with meticulously chosen hardware, is simply breathtaking. Even when playing acoustically, the resonance of the strings bouncing back from the neck makes you feel that the instrument itself is producing a wonderful tone.

The pickups that transmit that wonderful tone to the amplifier are Raw Vintage RV-PAF & RV60 RWRP. Not only do they evoke the feel of vintage pickups, but they also respond sensitively to delicate picking, faithfully expressing the nuances of your fingerwork.

The sound is well-defined with excellent note separation, and even when distorted, the core tone remains firm without becoming muddy. The warm sound, combined with the brilliance and sustain that comes from picking nuances, is a superb sound that also shines when coil-tapped.

In the control section, in addition to the 5-way switch, pulling up the tone knob activates the front and rear pickups, adding two more positions: front, middle, and rear, and front and rear.
The front and rear pickup mix sound is highly effective even in recording studios, offering tones suitable for techniques like cutting, and possesses a tone you'll want to play forever. It boasts a clear sound with a distinctly different clarity, including an attack that feels almost like a natural limiter has been applied.

The volume potentiometer uses a CTS potentiometer. Its robust carbon element structure provides exceptional durability, and the number of contact points is two points more than the standard five, reducing power loss.
Dilectron capacitors are used for the condenser. By cutting out unwanted harmonics, you can achieve a pleasant sound that doesn't get lost in an ensemble.

Furthermore, the setup by Shozo Shimura, who has provided the setups requested by guitarists who have supported the music scene, brings out not only smooth fingering and playability, but also the guitar's true sound.
Even if you customize the settings to your liking, the guitar's inherent high potential means you're guaranteed to be satisfied with it.

Beyond its technical design, the Varita Soltar 5053 boasts performance that isn't immediately apparent, including robust noise reduction for professional guitarists on stage and in the studio. Its refined body and neck contribute to its versatility, making it a must-have addition to your main guitar collection. It's suitable for a wide range of musical scenes, from studio work to live performances, and any professional environment.

To borrow the words of Mr. Shimura, who has set up guitars for countless professional guitarists, this is an exceptional product with undeniable "combat power."
