This model employs a reverse-type main tuning slide with staggered insertions, achieving both a smooth and comfortable playing feel and responsiveness.
By re-evaluating the overall balance of the instrument, we have achieved responsiveness and excellent control that is unaffected by volume, from pianissimo to fortissimo. We have also redesigned the mouthpiece receiver to produce a brighter, warmer, and more impactful tone.


● Reverse-type main tuning slide: The unique balance achieved by employing a reverse-type main tuning slide is the result of Yamaha's accumulated expertise.
This achieves both stable playability and a rich tone with abundant overtones at a high level.


●The design of the end section connected to the newly designed bell valve has been revised to achieve optimal resistance during playing.
Furthermore, we have significantly improved playability in the higher register compared to previous models.


●Thinner valve casing and piston: The valve casing and piston have been made thinner to further improve responsiveness.
To rebalance the change in resistance caused by the thinner walls, we modified the angle of the tubing from the main tube to the piston, resulting in a more comfortable playing feel.


●To produce a more comfortable playing feel and a denser tone than the first valve slide, a treble hole has been added to the first valve slide.


●Main tuning slide: To provide a moderate resistance, the water key valve head (the part that receives the cork) of the main tuning slide has been raised, and the response has been improved by curling both ends of the water key spring.

Jin Ueda Profile: Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Horikawa High School Music Department Branch and Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music.
In 2009, he studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimar as a recipient of the Emerging Artists Overseas Training Program (Agency for Cultural Affairs). He studied under Hiroaki Hayasaka, Masahiko Kurano, Genzo Kitamura, and Uwe Komischke.
First prize in the trumpet division of the 69th Japan Music Competition, and also the Matsushita Prize.
Recipient of the Aoyama Music Award in 2004.
Performed in the 2012 Tokyo Opera City Recital Series B→C.
He has performed concertos with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra.
Solo albums "Kaleidoscope," "Telescope," and "Microscope" released.
Currently a contracted member of the Siena Wind Orchestra, leader of the brass quintet BuzzFive, and member of the Tokyo Trumpet Quartet, Kyoto Trumpet Group Summer Breeze, and trumPETENsemble. Also a supervisor for the Zoorasian Brass.
Professor at Nagoya College of Music.
Lecturer at the graduate school of Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
He has also dedicated himself to writing instructional books and, in recent years, has been active as a studio player.
He has worked on commercial music, game music, and drama background music, and gained attention for playing the trumpet for Reina Kosaka in the TV anime "Sound! Euphonium."
