The Alleva-Coppolo is a 5-string bass that exudes a strong vintage feel and has earned high praise from professionals.

Areva Coppolo's instruments, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, from the finest tonewoods to the pickup wires and other components, pursue the sound and feel of the golden age of basses. They demonstrate a true understanding of vintage instruments, while also considering the demand for 5-string basses and modern sound systems, resulting in instruments reimagined for the modern era—truly instruments for musicians. The ironic message engraved on the neck plate, "Mass Production Is for Soda Pop And Automobiles," succinctly expresses his manufacturing philosophy.

This 2023 model boasts an active, gutsy sound while retaining the pleasant, familiar tone characteristic of alder/rosewood construction. Both its looks and sound reflect Jimmy's refined taste. Its exquisite clarity and power are sure to impress in any live setting.

Rather than a refined, elegant active JB sound, its slightly rougher sound, reminiscent of a passive bass, is likely the reason it has garnered high praise from numerous bassists. You can enjoy the thrill of controlling the instrument, and when played properly, you can savor a rich, fat tone.

Aside from some light signs of use on the pickguard, there is no other significant damage, and all other functional aspects such as fret wear and truss rod function are in good condition.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and confirmed at the time of dispatch.
