This high-quality distortion pedal achieves a compact size through a digital circuit using CMOS (a gate structure with complementary arrangement of MOSFETs (metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors)), yet possesses the penetrating power and clarity of a large-scale device, a stable and easily controllable sound image, and an analog-like mildness. It creates a wide range of distortion sounds, from a clean and well-blended distortion sound like an old-school amp lightly clipped, which helps to create a sound image that doesn't get lost in an ensemble, to a robust distortion sound that tightens the bottom end and permeates even the subtlest nuances.

This pedal is appealing for its simple and intuitive sound shaping capabilities, thanks to its three knobs and two three-stage switches. It also boasts a delicate response that captures the nuances of your touch, and the fact that you can get a rich sound even when left on is extremely convenient. Furthermore, even when heavily distorted, it achieves both a realistic sound image that doesn't lose the range and dynamics of the bass itself, and the signal strength that was characteristic of classic preamps, which will be reassuring for bassists who lay down solid beats. The more you use it, the more you'll appreciate its wide range of uses and solid design for real-world use.

Level: Adjusts the volume of the overdrive signal.
Drive: Adjusts the saturation level of the overdrive.
Blend: Adjusts the ratio of the clean signal to the overdrive signal. The clean signal always maintains unity gain, while the overdrive signal can be adjusted with the Level knob. Fine-tuning can be done by using the Level and Blend knobs in combination.
Grunt switch: Switches the bass intensity. You can select from three types of bass boost and level before the clipping stage: Fat/Thin/Raw.
Attack Switch: This switch functions similarly to the "Ultra Hi" option found on many bass amplifiers. It allows you to adjust the intensity of the high frequencies when distorted. The Boost setting provides a clearer presence, while the OFF setting results in a warmer, smoother sound.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
