■Limited Edition Model Made with Yoshino Senbonzakura Cherry BlossomsThe body top is made from rare cherry wood known as "Yoshino Senbonzakura" from Kurotaki Village, Nara Prefecture. Mount Yoshino, where it is harvested, is one of the sites that make up the "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range," a World Heritage Site registered in 2004, and is considered one of Japan's leading cherry blossom viewing spots.The white band of the wood's surface is positioned in the center of the body, further highlighting the beauty of the wood grain.
■ Senbonzakura and Mount Yoshino depicted on the guitar
The coloring is based on a deep red, evoking the image of the thousand cherry blossoms in full bloom. The diagonal white gradation represents the sky seen at the peak of Mount Yoshino and the thousand cherry blossoms spreading along its slopes.
It is said that approximately 30,000 cherry blossom trees bloom in full glory on Mount Yoshino. The image of the blossoms, stretching from the valley to the ridge, is depicted along with the pickguard logo. The fingerboard also features skillful inlay work, showcasing the colorful fluttering cherry blossoms. The cherry blossom branches are adorned with a robin, the prefectural bird of Nara Prefecture.
The head is finished in the same color as the body and features a special logo inspired by the double cherry blossoms of Mount Yoshino and deer antlers, the symbol of Nara Prefecture.
■Original pickup "VJ-5"
The original VJ-5 pickup is mounted. It uses an Alnico 5 magnet and outputs a bass tone that combines bright highs with a rich low end. The 5-string design delivers a sound optimized for a variety of playing styles.
