We have some used Ibanez USA Custom guitars in stock, which are rare on the market!
Ibanez USA Custom is a series created by Tak Hosono (who later worked at the Ibanez LA Custom Shop) of Hosono Guitar Works, a workshop in California, in the early to mid-1990s, before the birth of j.custom.
The model that has just arrived is the Exotic Wood series, which makes luxurious use of beautifully grained top material.
The top is made of extremely thick lacewood, approximately 10 mm thick, which is unthinkable today, and the neck is made of birdseye maple, giving it an appearance befitting a flagship model.
*Since the catalog specifications differ from those of the pickup mount, inlay, etc., this is likely an order model.
This particular item has signs of age-appropriate wear, such as scratches and dents throughout, tarnish on metal parts, and paint peeling on the strap pin attachment area, but no major scratches that would detract from its appearance can be found.
The arms, strap pins (Dunlop lock type/strap side missing), lock nuts and lock nut screws have been replaced.
The arm washer rotates when the arm is tightly fixed, but there is room to tighten and loosen the truss rod, and there are no problems with the electrical system. About 90% of the frets remain.
The production numbers are small and only a handful of USA Custom products are distributed in Japan.
A must-see for collectors!
