The SQ2 Drum System is a truly revolutionary design system that overturns conventional wisdom about drum design.
This fully customizable system allows you to customize everything from shell materials to finishes and even individual parts, resulting in endless combinations. This is no exaggeration. The hardware installed in the drums is simple yet equipped with many unique features to maximize overall acoustic performance, improving sound, tuning retention, sustain, and more.
The ultimate drums created by SONOR's craftsmen, who have a history of drum manufacturing spanning over 140 years, will be truly original drums that will become lifelong ``friends.''
This snare drum uses a medium maple shell.
Maple wood offers a warm, rich and extremely balanced tone, with punchy lows and harmonious mids and highs.
The extremely durable die-cast hoops are made in Germany, delivering a tight, clear sound image for your stick work. They also offer a powerful, open sound that clearly articulates every expression, from delicate touches to dynamic playing, resulting in the SONOR sound.
The outer layer is made of Scandinavian birch, one of SONOR's signature finishes, with its beautiful and stunning grain, and the semi-gloss lacquer maximizes the natural beauty of the Scandinavian birch.
Not only does it sound great, but its looks also make it a truly impressive unit that embodies the SONOR style.

In 1975, SONOR was the first drum brand to introduce the 45° bearing edge for maximum resonance and sustain. For SONOR, developing the perfect drum is based on superior manufacturing processes that have evolved over the years.
Applying the best of German engineering since 1875, this ''Optimum Shell Technology'' process has been continuously optimized over the years, including methods and technologies such as OSM, CLTF and TAR.
Unique techniques, the way the wood is hand selected, the special way each drum shell is heated and pressed.
