A rare, original fretless 5-string model is now available in excellent used condition!

Wal basses are rare in Japan, with limited availability, and even used ones in good condition are especially hard to find. Since their introduction in the 1970s, they have been loved by top artists, mainly in the UK, including John Entwistle, Percy Jones, Paul Simonon, Geddy Lee, Paul McCartney, Mick Karn, and others, and as a result, their distinctive bass sound has left its mark on people's memories.

This instrument features a classic combination of a mahogany body sandwiched between walnut, and is finished with a fretless design and an ebony fingerboard.
From the body shape to the custom-made original bridge, pickups, electronics, and control knobs, every detail faithfully carries on the style from the 80s, making this a quintessential Wal guitar.

In terms of condition, there are a few small dents on the neck side of the body top, near the rear pickup, and near the slap spot, as well as a few linear scratches on the side and bottom of the body, and slight tarnishing on the gold parts. Otherwise, there is no other significant damage, and considering that 35 years have passed since its manufacture, it has maintained a beautiful texture.
Furthermore, all parts have been set up at our shop, so there are absolutely no issues with playability, and there are no problems with functionality, including the truss rod and electronics.

A 5-string model with no frets is even rarer!

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
