Description

Limited production of only 100 bottles!
A Kyle Konkiel model equipped with a toggle switch that allows you to add a middle pickup in addition to the front and rear pickups!

The Kyle Konkiel signature model, featuring a custom colorshift finish inspired by Lamborghini, a Nordstrand EQ, and custom wiring with a switchable middle pickup, was released in 2023 as a limited edition of 25 units worldwide. Since then, development has continued with Kyle to further refine this custom base, changing the color to matte army green. It has also been upgraded with a newly developed Minimalist bridge, the latest string guides, and matte black hardware. In addition, it is equipped with an EMG 3-band preamp, making this second-generation model ready for a new story.

This instrument is based on the "Combustion" model, which features the beautiful, smooth body lines characteristic of Dingwall basses, and utilizes an alder body, a 5-piece maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.

The scale length, like that of high-end Canadian models, employs a multi-scale (fanned fret) system designed by Ralph Novak. Each string differs in length by 0.75 inches, resulting in a G string of 34 inches and a B string of 37 inches. This provides tension to the lower strings, which are normally difficult to achieve sufficiently, while maintaining excellent playability thanks to a meticulously calculated balance.

"Much of our success is built on the personal relationships we have with artists," says Sheldon Dingwall, CEO of Dingwall. The result is a guitar that combines looks, playability, and flexibility at a high level. Its fast and comfortable neck responds to every challenge a player may have.

PICKUPS & ELECTRONICS
The guitar features three highly acclaimed Dingwall FD3n pickups, an EMG 3-band active EQ, and Dingwall's proprietary Quad Tone rotary control.
Like the original model, it features custom wiring that allows you to add a middle pickup via a toggle switch to the front + rear pickup combination, offering a total of eight unique pickup combinations. A wide range of sound-shaping options are available.
Also, similar to the Canadian model, it's possible to switch between active and passive modes using a push-pull master volume control.

HARDWARE
This model is a special edition limited to only 100 units, inheriting core features of the Combustion series such as a 34-37 inch multi-scale, 24 frets (banjo-sized frets), and Hipshot Ultralite tuners. The back features a magnetic battery cover that opens and closes incredibly easily. Once you experience this convenience, you'll never want to go back to the hassle of unscrewing and opening the cover as before.

Furthermore, the black hardware version features a newly adopted Minimalist bridge and updated string retainers. The result is a finish that has been improved down to the smallest detail.
