Description
Description
This particular guitar, shipped around 1976, is one of the last models with a plate serial number and features the popular specifications of a blonde-colored ash body and rosewood fingerboard.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.4kg, which is relatively light for a Telecaster of this era. The body is made of ash. Like other major models, it is finished with "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss" paint, a blonde color that is relatively dark but allows the ash wood grain to be seen. Together with the black pickguard, it creates a nice look. The entire body has yellowed over time, and there is a noticeable difference in color between the area where a sticker was previously applied and the surrounding area. There is some weather checking commensurate with its age, paint peeling from use, rust and tarnish on the metal parts, and scratches, giving it a vintage guitar feel, but it is in relatively good condition overall.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. The back of the neck, which is prone to wear, has been repainted and is in excellent condition. There is some weather checking at the wood grain and some tarnishing on the metal parts, but it remains in good condition, similar to the body. The tuners are Fender F-key type, and although there is some slight variation in the tightness of the windings, they function properly. The frets and nut have been replaced once, and the playability is good. The headstock thickness is 14.0mm. The nut width is 41.8mm. It features a neck shape that is moderately thick yet clean.
[Electrical System]
The controls feature a high-pass filter that retains treble when the volume is turned down, and current wiring that allows the use of a pickup mix position. It has a 3-way pickup selector (neck/mix/bridge), master volume, and master tone. The control components, including the pickups, are all original and have been carefully preserved.
The neck (front) pickup boasts a unique compression and rich harmonics characteristic of this era, resulting in a warm and lustrous tone. The bridge (rear) pickup has a bright, edgy character typical of the late 1970s, characterized by a crisp attack and excellent clarity. You'll enjoy the distinctive sound of a vintage Telecaster.
