The B2 FOUR is a bass-specific effects and amp emulator with over 100 built-in amp/effect models, allowing simultaneous use of up to 5 in any connection order. It features 11 amp models, 11 preamps, and 82 bass effects, all utilizing newly developed multi-layer IRs. It also includes a DI model function that reproduces the tones of 6 professional-grade direct boxes and an XLR balanced output, allowing direct connection to PA systems and studio mixing consoles.

Featuring an audio circuit optimized for bass characteristics, it delivers a sharp attack and clear low end thanks to its flat phase response. Furthermore, the input with an impedance selector switch allows connection of acoustic basses equipped with piezo pickups. Equipped with a looper, rhythm machine, tuner, headphone jack, and AUX IN jack for connecting music players, it's suitable for everything from everyday practice to live performances.

- "Multi-layer IR" (patent pending) that dynamically blends three IRs according to the strength of the picking.

Conventional IRs use a single impulse response to capture the characteristics of a speaker cabinet. The newly developed "Multi-Layer IR" technology employs three impulse responses captured at different volumes: LOUD, MEDIUM, and SOFT. The three IRs are dynamically blended according to the bass volume and picking intensity, producing a faithful and organic sound that is on a completely different level, just like a real cabinet.

- DI MODEL function that reproduces 6 types of classic direct boxes.

The dynamic tonal changes (hysteresis characteristics) produced by the transformer that characterizes the sound of a DI box have been mathematically modeled and precisely recreated. This reproduces the subtle differences in harmonics and compression obtained by passing through each DI box. Just like a professional bassist, you can switch between six different DI models depending on the acoustic characteristics of the live venue and the genre of music.
