We've received an elite model featuring a top-quality 5A grade Imbouillabaisse top and a rare alder core!

Founded in 1979, Ken Smith Basses has consistently provided players with the highest quality basses since the early days of multi-string basses, leveraging the exceptional ear and extensive knowledge of wood possessed by Mr. Smith, a former professional bassist. All USA-made models use only the most suitable tonewoods, even for beautiful top woods, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to instrument quality and tone. This makes Ken Smith a rare bass brand that has been able to thrive for over 40 years solely on the basis of its quality, without passing on the costs of advertising or endorsements to the instruments themselves.

The Elite model is crafted from the finest woods carefully selected from Smith's extensive wood collection, which boasts a stock comparable to that of a lumber supplier, and finished with a beautiful, rich lacquer texture reminiscent of a piano. This particular instrument is a rare find, featuring an alder core that is normally unavailable for custom orders.

In terms of condition, there are a few small, rice-grain-sized dents on the body top, and the catalytic lacquer has changed to a matte finish in some places due to aging. However, there is no damage that particularly affects playability, and there is no noticeable fret wear, and the truss rod and electronics are all functioning perfectly.

The Smith neck-through Elite model has become quite a rare find these days.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
