Description
Arai Trading was established in 1956. Around 1963, they began manufacturing electric guitars, and after going through brands such as Arai and Arai Diamond, they established the acoustic guitar line Aria and the electric guitar/bass guitar line AriaProII. Since then, they have produced numerous masterpieces, including the flagship "PE" series that continues to this day.

This is the "5522N," an LP copy model that was part of the lineup in the 1970s. It's an attractive instrument with a unique structure that is characteristic of Japanese-made guitars.

【body】
The guitar weighs approximately 3.75 kg. The body, finished in a natural color, has a laminated top with a beautiful wood grain. Overall, there are signs of use commensurate with its age, including scratches, dents, paint damage, tarnishing of metal parts, and cracks and repairs to the pickup rings. The truss rod cover and control knobs have been replaced, and the pickguard is missing.

【neck】
This guitar features a detachable (bolt-on) neck, common in LP copies of this era, but with a unique joint method: two points from the back of the body and two points inside the pickup cavity, for a total of four points of attachment. The neck heel and other parts of the joint are designed to resemble the original shape, giving it a finish that sets it apart from other copy models. The tuners have some inconsistency and play in the winding, but they function properly. The frets and nut show wear and there is a tendency for the highs to be raised. There is no extreme buzzing or dead spots, and it does not currently affect playability. The nut width is approximately 43.1mm. It has a very thin and sleek neck shape.

[Electrical System]
The controls are simple: 2 volume, 2 tone, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. The control layout differs from the original. The neck (front) position looks like a humbucker at first glance, but it's actually a single-coil pickup. The bridge (rear) pickup is a humbucker.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
