Description
Description
Since its founding in 1999, Cub has built a brand history as a flagship amplifier for Bad Cat.
The original Cub was designed by legendary amplifier designer Mark Sampson and inherits the DNA of 15W British amplifiers from the 1960s, evolving into a more powerful and refined sound.
This circuit later became the brand's signature "Bad Cat sound," and remains the most beloved amplifier by current Bad Cat owner John Thompson.
What John Thompson had envisioned for many years was a "Grab & Go" amplifier that delivered the authentic Bad Cat sound in a more portable way.
The new Mod Shop Cub 15 is the realization of that ideal.
This compact enclosure combines the midrange reminiscent of the original 1999 Cub, tighter bass, and the features that modern players demand.
[A rich expressiveness that responds to the performance]
The Mod Shop Cub 15 is an extremely touch-sensitive and harmonically rich single-channel amplifier.
A gentle picking technique produces a delicate whisper, while a strong picking technique creates a powerful song with rich overtones.
It faithfully expresses the nuances of the player's performance, and the performance itself is reflected in the sound.
With ample clean headroom, it's also ideal for use with large pedalboards.
On the other hand, the amplifier itself offers sufficient gain, making it ideal for players who prefer a simple setup.
Furthermore, it has excellent compatibility with all types of pickups.
It boasts such high resolution that you can not only discern the differences between a Stratocaster and a Les Paul, but also perceive the nuances of each individual Les Paul.
[Main Features]
