Description
Teisco (Aoi Sound Wave Laboratory), a leading name in bizarre guitars in Japan, has a long history, having been founded in 1946, shortly after the end of World War II. Starting with the manufacture of steel guitars, pickups, and amplifiers, the company later began producing solid-body guitars and rode the wave of the electric guitar boom, increasing its sales both domestically and internationally.

This time, we have the "Vegas 66," a high-end full-acoustic model that debuted in 1966. The model name is said to be derived from Las Vegas and its casinos.

【body】
The guitar weighs approximately 3.8kg. As the model name suggests, it has a full acoustic construction with a body thickness of approximately 66mm, and its bright red color gives it a cute look reminiscent of a retro American car. Overall, there are scratches, dents, and paint damage commensurate with its age, but there are no fatal cracks, and it can be said to be in good condition. A washer has been added under the tremolo arm to ensure a wide range of motion.

【neck】
The neck is detachable (bolt-on). The headstock has paint imperfections above the model logo and dents near the 2nd string tuner, and there are also dents on the back of the neck. There was some separation in the fretboard, which has been repaired by our shop. The 2nd string tuner has been replaced with a Greco tuner; the winding is inconsistent and a bit stiff overall, but it functions properly. The frets and nut show wear, but there is no buzzing or dead spots and playability is good at the moment. The nut width is approximately 41.2mm. It features a thin and sleek neck shape.

[Electrical System]
The controls consist of [1 volume / 1 tone / 3-way rotary switch]. The rotary switch and tone potentiometer have been replaced, and the original preset tone circuit has been modified to function as a 3-way pickup selector switch. The tone control rotates in the opposite direction to normal, but this is by design. It is easy to use with its simple controls, and its rich tone, which takes advantage of the body size, is also appealing.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
